植物培養箱實際就是一個有光照培養箱的恆溫培養箱，其中的光照培養箱、溫度、濕度等條件能夠滿足植物的生長需求。
原理就是幾組燈管和一套控溫裝置（通常5-50度）。如果高級點的還有光照培養箱設置比如幾點開燈幾點關燈，什麼時候光照培養箱強一些等植物培養箱，一般常用的和冰箱一樣大小，能形成一個密閉的空間。
植物培養箱的工作原理是，控制溫度，濕度，光照培養箱強度，時間等條件，為植物提供最適合生長的環境，和溫室差不多吧。
裏面都是燈管，有計時器控制燈光的開關；有溫度計，適時控制箱內的溫度等。
